• How long have you worked for Szultka Fitness?

  • Mark: I have worked for Szultka Fitness for 5 years. I was promoted to Sales Manager in 2002 and am also responsible for customer relations, especially with customers interested in TITAN machines.
     

Szultka Fitness:
• What does your typical working day involve?

  • Mark: Everyday, I start by checking my emails, and answering questions from our existing and future customers. I pay special attention to customers' feedback regarding TITAN machines. This helps us improve on the machine's design. Also, a substantial share of my time is devoted to communicating with our distributors all over the world.

Szultka Fitness:
• We know you have not worked for the company for long but do you know the history behind TITAN T1 machine?

  • Mark: Yes, certainly. The first TITAN T1 model was designed by the company proprietor Mr. Stanislaw Szultka. The goal was to create a 'perfect' machine, which was of high quality, was suitable for the broadest range of exercises and was also simple to use - which, I think, we have 100% achieved, or almost 100% :-))
     

Szultka Fitness:
• Are you suggesting that TITAN T1 is not perfect?

  • Mark: In our country we say 'Nothing is perfect' and I fully agree with that. In the case of the T1 machine, this is because every customer is different. Some customers are short, while others are tall. Based on our customers' opinions and feedback we constantly strive to improve the machine, to make it more universal for everybody.
     

Szultka Fitness:
• What is the typical ordering procedure for the TITAN T1 machine?

  • Mark: The process begins with the first contact, usually via my e-mail, mariusz@szultka.com.pl Mainly, customers enquire about TITAN T1 accessories, price, terms of delivery and so on. After submitting our offer I wait for an answer. If it is positive the customer is assigned a code. And then we agree on all the details relating to payment transfers and terms of delivery.
     

Szultka Fitness:
• Future customers would be interested to know how you deliver a T1 from Poland to Australia. Can you briefly describe the process?

  • Mark: Yes, certainly. It all starts from the port in Gdynia, Poland. A shipping agent informs me of dispatching conditions and expected delivery times. I forward this information on to the customer. Next, when the machine arrives in Australia, I inform the customer of when the machine is available for pick-up. If the customer prefers, the shipping agent can arrange a customs agent to complete the customs formalities - this usually takes no longer than 10 days. In such cases the only thing the customer has to do is to collect the equipment from the port.
     

Szultka Fitness:
• Have you had any unusual customers with special requirements?

  • Mark: In 2004, I sold an original-model TITAN T1 to a very wealthy sheikh in Saudi Arabia . The sale was unusual in the sense that the customer wanted us to assemble the machine, after its arrival in Saudi Arabia. When T1 arrived I flew to Saudi Arabia. Having put the equipment together and performed a demonstration, I was offered a short stay at the palace. It was one of those unforgettable adventures in life.

• It sounds as if you have friends all over the world?

  • Mark: Yes, indeed. Selling TITAN machines worldwide I get to know many interesting people who share an interest in our machines.
     

Szultka Fitness:
• Among your previous customers, were there any in particular who have substantially contributed to the development of TITAN T1 machines?

  • Mark: Two such people are Mr. Brian Butler and Mr. Lee Floyd from Fitcore Technologies, Salt Lake City, USA. Mainly in response to their feedback, the options A, A1, B, B1, F, E, G i HPB were introduced. They also have helped us to prepare the TITAN T1 instruction manual.
     

  Szultka Fitness:
• How do you see the future of the TITAN T1 machine?

  • Mark: TITAN T1 is intended primarily for private use at home. On the international market, sales of machines to fitness clubs are consistently dropping, while sales to private customers are rapidly increasing. As a matter of fact, nowadays, many new homes are built with a special fitness room for home fitness equipment. And the future of home fitness is TITAN!. I remember a customer from Miami who has posted on an internet discussion board that he has started to design his new home based around a special room for the TITAN T1 machine, J.
